Nick Bolton: a Player to Watch Now & Into the Future
Nick Bolton is more than just a linebacker; he's a blossoming star in the league! At just 24 years old, Bolton has already made a significant impact on the field and in the hearts of local Kansas City fans. Originally hailing from Frisco, TX, Bolton was a second-round pick (58th overall) and quickly proved to be worth every bit of that selection.
Bolton is a two-time SB champion and has set multiple records during his young career. In the 2022 season, he finished second overall in the league with 180 total tackles, setting a new franchise record for single-season tackles. He also recorded nine games with 10 or more tackles, the most in team history.
Postseason Heroics
Nick Bolton didn't just shine during the regular season. During the Big Game in Arizona on February 12, 2023, he made history by returning a fumble 36 yards for a touchdown, tying the game. This play made Bolton the first Mizzou Tiger to ever score in the Big Game! It was also a pivotal play in what proved to be a close championship win by our team.
