Road to Giving: Supporting Newhouse Kansas City
At Lee’s Summit Honda, our Road to Giving program continues to reflect our commitment to supporting organizations that make a real difference in our community. During the first quarter, we were proud to partner with Newhouse — Kansas City’s first domestic violence shelter — an organization dedicated to helping survivors of domestic violence rebuild their lives with safety, stability, and care. Thanks to the generosity of our customers and team, we raised $10,918.75 to help fund vital services including emergency shelter, counseling, childcare, transportation, and legal advocacy. Along with monetary support, our team also contributed a collection of in-demand items from Newhouse’s wish list to directly support residents and their daily needs. We are truly grateful to everyone who participated and helped us continue building a stronger, safer community together.
Worthy Pop-Up Bar
At Lee’s Summit Honda, we are proud to highlight our involvement in the Worthy Pop-Up Bar at The Maverick this March, a two-night fundraiser benefiting Newhouse — Kansas City’s first domestic violence shelter — and its mission to support survivors of domestic violence. Special guest bartenders Brooke Thompson, Marketing Manager for Balderston Auto Group, and Karanne Benton, Executive Manager at Lee’s Summit Honda, stepped behind the bar representing our team, helping create an energetic and meaningful evening centered on empowerment, self-care, and community support. Their efforts contributed to an impressive $18,838 raised, earning 3rd place on the leaderboard among 23 bartending teams, and helping drive a total of $230,224 raised for Newhouse Kansas City. We are proud to have been part of an event that directly supports critical services including emergency shelter, therapy, childcare, legal advocacy, transportation, and more for the families who rely on Newhouse.
Road to Giving: Supporting Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City
At Lee’s Summit Honda, we are proud to continue our commitment to giving back through our Road to Giving program. During the fourth quarter, we were honored to support Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City, with a focus on the Hawthorne Unit, which provides a safe and supportive environment for local youth. Through the generosity of our customers and dealership, we raised $10,867.59 to help empower kids and teens with opportunities that promote growth, confidence, and success. We look forward to continuing our partnership and supporting brighter futures in our community.
Trunk Or Treat
This past October, we were thrilled to partner with our neighbors at Lee's Summit Subaru for our 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat at Lee’s Summit Honda, an incredible afternoon filled with candy, games, face painting, and Halloween fun for families throughout the community. At Lee’s Summit Honda, we love coming together with the Balderston Auto Group family to provide a safe and festive environment for all ages, giving back and celebrating with the neighbors who make our community so special. We’re already looking forward to more opportunities to create lasting memories together.
